I'm excited to share a glimpse into my current solo exhibition Field Recordings, now on view at Aia Contemporary in Prague. The show opened with an intimate vernissage on June 26th and will run until the end of July. If you're in town, I warmly invite you to visit.

About the Exhibition:
What cuts through in a world of constant visual noise? Field Recordings captures fragments that speak to something raw and unfiltered. These impulses become the starting point for paintings shaped by intuition rather than control.
Perception becomes process - A mark might arise from an impulse or an observation. What emerges is not a fixed image, but a visual echo that invites presence.

Ich freue mich sehr, euch einen Einblick in meine aktuelle Einzelausstellung Field Recordings zu geben, die derzeit in der Galerie Aia Contemporary in Prag zu sehen ist. Die Ausstellung wurde am 26. Juni eröffnet und läuft noch bis Ende Juli. Wenn ihr in der Nähe seid – kommt gern vorbei!

Zur Ausstellung:
Was sticht heraus in einer Welt voller visueller Reizüberflutung? Field Recordings versammelt Fragmente, die etwas Rohes und Ungefiltertes transportieren. Diese Impulse werden zum Ausgangspunkt für Malereien, die eher von Intuition als von Kontrolle geprägt sind.
Wahrnehmung wird zum Prozess: Das Sehen kommt vor dem Verstehen. Ein Zeichen entsteht aus einem Impuls oder einer Beobachtung. Es geht nicht um ein festes Bild, sondern um ein visuelles Echo – eine Spur, die zur Präsenz einlädt.
What You’ll See:
The exhibition features a series of paintings in varying formats, ranging from smaller to medium-sized works and one textile installation that condenses the raw takes of my field recordings. The canvases combine spray paint (echoing imprints of found materials), brush-applied acrylics, and spontaneous gestures with oil sticks or graphite.
These field recordings are not neutral - they reflect social imprints, cultural overlays, and personal resonance. In intuitively selecting and transforming these visual impulses, I create a kind of counter-narrative. One that embraces ambiguity, leaves space for association and silence.

Was es zu sehen gibt:
Die Ausstellung zeigt eine Serie von Malereien in unterschiedlichen Formaten – von kleineren bis mittleren Arbeiten – sowie eine textile Installation, die die rohen Eindrücke meiner Field Recordings verdichtet. Die Leinwände vereinen Sprühfarbe (als Echo gefundener Materialien), mit dem Pinsel aufgetragene Acrylfarben und spontane Gesten mit Ölkreide oder Bleistift.
Diese Field Recordings sind nicht neutral – sie spiegeln gesellschaftliche Spuren, kulturelle Überlagerungen und persönliche Assoziationen wider. Durch das intuitive Auswählen und Transformieren dieser visuellen Impulse entsteht eine Art Gegenerzählung, die sowohl freie Assoziation als auch Raum für Stille zulässt.
