About the Exhibition:
What cuts through in a world of constant visual noise? Field Recordings captures fragments that speak to something raw and unfiltered. These impulses become the starting point for paintings shaped by intuition rather than control.
Perception becomes process: Seeing comes first, before understanding or control. A mark might arise from an impulse or an observation. What emerges is not a fixed image, but a visual echo that invites presence.
What You’ll See:
The exhibition features a series of paintings in varying formats, ranging from smaller to medium-sized works and one textile installation that condenses the raw takes of my field recordings. The canvases combine spray paint (echoing imprints of found materials), brush-applied acrylics, and spontaneous gestures with oil sticks or graphite.
These field recordings are not neutral - they reflect social imprints, cultural overlays, and personal resonance. In intuitively selecting and transforming these visual impulses, I create a kind of counter-narrative. One that embraces ambiguity, leaves space for interruption and silence.
